There are no bad ideas. Put on your thinking cap and type away.

“What do you do when you are in a mental slump? How do you find motivation to get out of bed on those days you want to run away from everything? How can you become a productive person without burning out?
Throughout my entire life I have struggled with time management, procrastination, and lack of motivation. Over the course of the past two years, these battles I faced were amplified through the implications of COVID-19. It wasn’t until a month ago that I was able to pull myself out of my two year slump. After extensive research and education through self-help books and podcasts, I finally feel like a productive and time maximizing person. Join me in exploring how I plan to educate my audience throughout this course using the multimedia projects.
1. Get motivated, be productive.
One of my deep passions is helping others; and I want to use the projects in this class to help people who are procrastination ridden and stuck in a slump. I predict that my audience will mainly consist of highschool and college students, but not limited to working young adults who have yet to find a routine in their lives. For the photoshop project, I could create a side by side collage of pictures showing the different things two types of people can do in just 1 day. The left would be someone who spends lots of time scrolling on social media, sleeping late, waking up late, low energy and barely completing their daily tasks; and the right side would show someone who maximizes their time by making use of every minute towards their growth. For the illustration project, I could create a daily routine for my audience to follow and try being productive with challenges like turning off your phone, journaling for 10 mins, and exercising for 15 mins. Lastly, for the video project, I could make a tutorial on tips to stay focused and on task throughout the day in a vlog format (6:00am wake up, turn off your phone!, 7:00am Breakfast, think about ways to make your day better, etc) 2. Out of sight, out of mind. Another idea I could potentially explore is using home organization methods to boost your mood. In my own experience, keeping an organized home and clean living space has significantly improved my mood and mental health. By implementing simple strategies like making my bed every morning, taking out the trash and washing dishes at the end of every night, my life quality has been significantly higher. For the photoshop project, I could create two images of messy and clean living quarters in the template of someone’s brain, showing how your physical living space can affect your brain. For the illustration project, I could create an image of a clean living space with tips and tricks to maintain it. And finally, for the video project, I could do a “clean up and tidy with me” sped up vlog showing how each tiny task only takes a few minutes but makes a big difference.
